After only recently celebrating the National Win of the 2016 Myer Fashions on the Field by Courtney Moore, the new season competition has already begun and the South Australian Final for the competition was as usual, very stiff competition.
It was a perfect day at Morphettville Racecourse for the 2017 South Australian State Final held on UBET Adelaide Cup Day. This year's SA Final was judged by a panel including Adelaide Cup Day Ambassador Ellie Brown, Myer State manager Kerry Davenport, The Advertiser Fashion Stylist Mirella Romano, The Advertiser Fashion Journalist Anna Vlach, and assistance by the 2016 Winner, Courtney Moore.
While there were so many beautifully dressed entrants, the winner of the SA Final was Melissa Barnes, a local milliner. The winning outfit stood out with a beautiful pattern waterfall skirt by Roksanda, complimented by a Couture Love Madness top, and accessories by Olga Berg, Windsor Smith and Lovisa. As she is a talented milliner, Melissa made her own Millinery from her Adorn Collection range, matching perfectly to her outfit.
Melissa will now go on to be in the National Final for the Myer FOTF, held on Crown Oaks Day at Flemington Racecourse later this year. Melissa is also in the running for the Fashion at The Races State Final, with her winning outfit at the Murray Bridge Cup qualifying her for the state win as well.
