The winners of the Fashion at The Races competition hail from all over South Australia, and in the case of the Kangaroo Island winner, the World! Olivia Buick hails from France originally, but now lives in Cygnet River with her family. On a beautiful day in Kangaroo Island, Olivia took out the Fashions on the Field competition with a floral, summery look. Check out our chat with Olivia!
Who is your outfit by?
It's a top and skirt combo, top from ASOS and skirt from Oasis. The Shoes are also from ASOS, with accessories from Claudia Canova, and my headwear is by Claire Hahn - a milliner from New Zealand.
What brought you to The Race at Kangaroo Island?
For my husband and I it's a tradition to come every year to the KI races.
Have you entered Fashions on the Field events before in SA?
Yes! This is the third year I've entered FOTF on Kangaroo Island.
Describe your style...
I'm French, so I love anything that looks romantic, elegant and effortless. I love a classy and simple look.
Who's your style icon?
Hard question! I think I will say my mum!
Who's your favourite designer?
I absolutely love Givenchy. But for more affordable pieces, ASOS is the one I go to!
What do you love about The Races?
The atmosphere, the laughs, cheerings, winning (and loosings!). I love the beautiful outfits and elegant horse. The Races makes me dream, admire and so enthusiastic. I can't wait for next year!
