Street style looks from Kangaroo Island Cup

Boasting one of the largest membership bases of any country club in South Australia, The Kangaroo Island Racing Club is never short on serving up an energetic atmosphere with all the fashion trimmings to match. With the SeaLink Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival inked as a not to be missed event on every racing enthusiasts calendar, the past few days certainly did not disappoint. And while we could easily spend days talking festivities, we're here to talk Cup Day attire.

Held on Saturday the 17th of February, this year’s meet saw hats and fascinators take centre stage as the ensemble heroes. With bold flower designs, contemporary shapes and large hats adorning their perfectly matched outfits, the women of Kangaroo Island meant business. No last minute additions but perfectly paired millinery creations matching a sea of floral prints, lace and summer colours. But as we know, there can only be one winner on the podium and this year the prize was taken out by Brooke Seward. Matching her pastel baby blue Eliya The Label number with a bespoke Simply By Lou Lou headpiece, Brooke struck the cord with a perfect fusion of traditional feminine dressing and contrasting contemporary shapes.
