MILLINERY FROM THE PORT LINCOLN CUP

The promise of a sunny day spent trackside by the coast again lured punters from across the peninsula to the 2018 MGA

Insurance Brokers Port Lincoln Cup. With summer kicking on (and the weekend ahead!), a chilled glass of Pimm’s served as the ideal accompaniment to the line-up of races that delivered excitement at each post.

Top shelf racing was far from the only show on display, arguably outdone by those who had arrived in their favourite frocks to put a hand up for this year’s Fashion at The Races heat. Eyre Peninsula folk require no introduction to the neon palms of Coco California, and with this frontrunner local boutique in attendance, the fashion stakes were always set to be high.

On this occasion, the judges’ verdict would fall in favour of Chloe Carr, having taken to the stage in an elegant emerald number. Her dress came courtesy of ASOS, while millinery by Miss Louise added the all-important final touches to a well-considered ensemble.

Fans of the ubiquitous race day fascinator will appreciate our street style snaps, with striking floral accents on this traditional accessory dominating the day’s highlights.
