5 minutes with Mija Reynolds, Port Augusta Cup winner

Meet, Mija Reynolds. She was sashed with the 2018 Port Augusta Cup Best Dressed Womenswear title in July. Her all black everything outfit was complemented with stand out accessories - she even brought Karl Lagerfield to the country races - in a brooch form. Mija proved to onlookers and the judges how winter racing fashion is done.

We spent 5 minutes with Mija after her win to get to know her a little more. Read on...

Name: Mija Reynolds

Occupation: Grazier

Suburb: Hawker

Wearing: Forever New cape, Portmans blouse, ASOS culottes, Sportsgirl shoes and a vintage beret from Bonnetry Millinery

First time at The Races? I’ve always gone to the races – all over the country. I can’t remember the first time I went to the races.

I couldn’t do a day trackside without: Comfortable shoes and good company

The last time I entered Fashion at The Races was: At the 2018 Hawker Cup

The most embarrassing thing I’ve ever worn is: I’ve never worn anything that I’ve been embarrassed about

My favourite thing I own is: My millinery collection

What people might not know about me: 90% of the time I wear really unfashionable clothing and no make-up due to the nature of my business working with livestock on my property in the outback

Weekends look like: Lots of walking, camping in one of our creeks, exploring and spending time with family and friends

I love to indulge in: Millinery

My kind of day out is: Drinks with friends at an event on a beautiful day

On my bucket list I want to: Travel to the UK and attend Ascot Races

I wish I could have a glass of bubbles with: Any of my friends!

This year I am looking forward to: A skiing holiday

I love The Races because: It’s a great opportunity to get dressed up and express my style, meet other Field Fashion enthusiasts, have a flutter and catch up with friends over some drinks.
